Stanly

Located just 45 miles northeast of Charlotte, Stanly County is at the forefront in offering business incentives, labor and a friendly environment for economic development. A low tax rate and strong economic aid packages that include low interest rates for renovations and equipment as well as tax credits for newly created jobs make the county very attractive for expansion, as do the abundance of affordable greenfield and industrial sites. The result is a diverse group of companies that call Stanly County home, from Michelin Aircraft Tire Co. to S.T. Motorsports.   The county also boasts a large available workforce, with a virtually non-existent unionization rate.
